Tenants of Merthyr Valleys Homes can soon look forward to updated and renovated properties as the Kitchen, Bathroom and Electrical improvement contracts have been awarded to R&M Williams and Bullock Construction.

Jackie Bligh, Chief Executive of Merthyr Valleys Homes confirmed “We are always looking to improve the comfort and lifestyle of our tenants’ and this is further testament to our ambition”.

The initial properties are already past the survey stage and works commenced on 26th April 2010. Tenants of Cherry Grove on the Gurnos Estate and Nant Y Coed in Troedyrhiw are the first recipients on what will be a rolling programme of improvements.

Ray Davies, a tenant of Nant Y Coed said “I am extremely happy with the standard of care and attention we have received on the improvement works to date. Merthyr Valleys Homes are working well to ensure that all their tenants will have a good quality home to live in”.
