Merthyr Valleys Homes is delighted to announce that it has funded the 3G’s Arts and Music Group to the tune of £4984. The group applied for the amount under our Grant Scheme to fund their trip to Disneyland Paris to perform in the Welsh Festival.

This is one of the many grants which the tenant led Grant Panel has agreed to, others include:
• Ladies in Action received £800 for pool hire and aqua aerobic instruction.
• Trefechan Wednesday Club benefited from £769.97 to purchase of computer consoles.
• Bedlinog Little Cubs Playgroup were awarded £3,120.00 to contribute towards the rental of premises.
• Pant and Dowlais Boys & Girls Club were granted £992.90 to purchase computer consoles.
• 3 year old Reisha Lilly Churchill received £1,267.77 to purchase equipment for a sensory room in her home.
• Vaynor Community Forum received £615.44 to build a flower garden.
• Trefechan Preschool received £1,221.80 towards craft equipment.
• Penydarren Boys & Girls Club was awarded £5,000 towards the re-surfacing of the multi purpose play area.
• Haven Close Residents were granted £2,000 for security lighting.
• Georgetown Boys & Girls Club was granted £3,839.65 towards equipment and electrical work.
• Busy Bee Action Group received £680 to enable them to carry out cookery classes.
• Royal Crescent Allotment Society was awarded £5,000 towards fencing.
• Merthyr First Responders were granted £4550.09 towards defibrillation equipment.

In addition to these we at Merthyr Valleys Homes also operate a Sponsorship Scheme which, like the Grant Scheme, aims to support local communities to develop and thrive.
To date, Merthyr Valleys Homes has awarded the following sponsorships:
• Caeharris Guest Football Club received £500 to purchase their team kit.
• The Friends of Taff Bargoed were awarded £225 for their annual Christmas event.
• The Friends of Merthyr Tydfil Music were sponsored £1500 towards their annual concert.
• Merthyr Tydfil Dragons were sponsored £1,500 towards kit and equipment.
